Located in Santa Rosa Valley, about 39 miles north of downtown Los Angeles
Purchased the property in 2025 the residence sat on 1.3 flat acres with lush grounds, a working garden, mountain views, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a house in nearly knock-down shape. The house itself was completely untouched and deeply stuck in 1987. It was owned by the same older couple for decades but through the mess, the bones oozed with potential. The challenge was bringing warmth and character to what was essentially a blank-slate ranch house without much architectural direction.
Like many recent buyers to the area, extensive renovations were required. The initial project encompassed the kitchen, the heart of our home. Here the goal was to capture a Mediterranean-leaning farm aesthetic that reflects not just aesthetic design preferences but the reality that this kitchen is high use. With 3 kids, 13 chickens, 2 ducks, 2 goats, 3 cats, and a myriad of friends and family members in and out of the house, this kitchen had to be tough enough to withstand the life of a working hobby homestead.
The end result feels elevated but still deeply livable. The goal was for it to feel polished without losing a relaxed California spirit.
